Chirp
Chirp
Chirp (verb), a short, sharp, high-pitched sound
Handmade in England from the finest materials, Chirp by ANDEN is sculptural, playful and surprisingly tuneful. Made from the most beautiful Iroko and maple wood, each Chirp features a sawtooth join, seamlessly crafted to give a nod to a bird’s plumage while also bringing out the unique characteristics of each timber.
Available in three distinct style, choose from a dark Iroko top with Maple base, a lighter Maple top and Iroko base, or a new all black Ebonised design. The natural timber finishes will naturally darken over time and use, with the deep, textured grain in the Iroko developing a beautiful patina, while the Maple will eventually turn a rich golden colour.
The limited edition Ebonised black Chirp was born out of Anden's commitment to reducing waste in the workshop. Occasionally we discovered natural colour blotches hidden inside the timbers, that only reveals itself once created. So instead of rejecting these perfectly made designs and creating waste, we added a deep stain that we think looks majestic.
What sets the Chirp apart is the fact that each bird hides its own unique song, just give the brass wing(nut) a gentle twist to hear it sing. Inspired by a classic friction bird call, our vintage brass wingnut and solid timber creates a delightfully authentic bird call. Vary the speed and direction of your movements to change the pitch from a warble to a whistle.
We can’t promise a flock of curious Nightingales descending on the garden, but with practice, you’ll soon discover your Chirp’s own unique sound.
